A resident had a mental break down last month and this subsequently led to their readmission to an acute mental health hospital. During this admission, the resident, the commissioners and the family were all very keen for them to return to Cedar Lodge.
The staff at Cedar Lodge worked tirelessly with the MDT at the hospital to arrange care planning for the resident and to sort out a discharge plan for their return to Cedar Lodge. Due to the hard work of all of our team, the resident only spent a period of 2 weeks at the hospital before returning to Cedar Lodge. The resident now continues their pathway to recovery with the hope of returning to their accommodation in the near future ; another success story from Camino!
In the resident’s own words ‘all the staff here are amazing and are helping and supporting me’. They also remarked ‘And I did not think I would get through this but I have and I will carry on. I am so so thankful for all of the staff here. I have now realised how lucky I am. So thank you for giving me this opportunity’.
